Background
Onder set out to simplify how homeowners handle ongoing maintenance by replacing fragmented tools with a single, guided experience. They needed a platform that could match users with qualified service providers, streamline the request process, and centralize all home-related information in one place. The goal was to give homeowners a modern, trustworthy, and easy-to-use interface for describing issues, selecting providers, managing properties, and tracking activity.
Challenges
The platform required a smooth, intuitive workflow that allowed users to quickly submit maintenance needs, specify urgency, upload documents, and choose providers without friction. Designing a dashboard that housed properties, notifications, requests, and invoices, all while remaining clean and simple, was a central priority. The request process had to balance flexibility with clarity, offering a fully guided experience for describing issues and booking help. Additionally, the invoicing system needed to support organized, secure payments directly within the app, giving customers transparent real-time access to their financial activity.
Outcome
The final product is an accessible home-management solution that gives homeowners everything they need in one place. A clear dashboard provides instant access to properties, notifications, and maintenance actions, while the streamlined request flow guides users through describing issues and selecting trusted providers. Integrated invoicing brings secure payments and organized transaction history directly into the platform. Through this engagement, we also refined Onder’s brand identity and user interface, supporting their growth across Seattle communities. The platform now serves dozens of homes and continues expanding, giving homeowners a dependable and modern way to manage their ongoing maintenance needs.
